Maximize your plant uptime by processing complex, viscous, or crystal-laden fluids, drastically reducing pumping and maintenance costs thanks to its high-shear technology.

The AlfaFlash is a plate evaporator that operates as a forced-circulation flash evaporator. This forced circulation means a pump recirculates the liquid between the cyclonic separator vessel and the plate evaporator itself, creating a highly turbulent flow inside the equipment. In this process, boiling does not occur in the plate heat exchanger; instead, the liquid to be concentrated is simply heated under pressure. Actual evaporation takes place when the heated liquid is discharged into the separator vessel, where pressure is released and **the liquid vaporizes instantaneously** (flash evaporation). Vacuum is applied to the system to lower the boiling temperature, created by condensing the vapor from the last effect in a highly efficient and compact condenser. In combination with multiple effects, steam consumption is reduced: vapor produced in one effect is used as the heating medium for the next. Combined with thermal vapor recompression (TVR) and/or mechanical vapor recompression (MVR), steam consumption can be reduced to a fraction of the evaporation capacity. A complete installation includes plate evaporators, preheaters, separator vessels, TVR or MVR, recirculation pumps, instruments, valves, ducts, piping, and a control panel.
