The AlfaVap replaces conventional shell-and-tube technology with a high-efficiency corrugated plate pack, operating on the rising film principle. The product enters from the bottom and, upon boiling on contact with the steam-heated plates, accelerates upward generating high turbulence. This fluid dynamics not only improves heat transfer but also exerts a self-cleaning effect on the plate walls, allowing longer continuous production runs without loss of efficiency. For the plant manager, this translates into continuous operation, lower CIP chemical consumption, and superior product quality due to short residence time.

•Compact Design and Civil Works Savings: Unlike tubular evaporators that require heights of 16 to 25 meters, the AlfaVap operates efficiently at 6 to 8 meters. This allows installation inside existing industrial facilities without modifying roofs or building costly support structures, significantly reducing capital investment.
•Thermal Efficiency and Viscosity Handling: The corrugated plate pattern generates high turbulence that triples the heat-transfer coefficient compared to tubular systems. This allows working with temperature differences (Delta T) as low as 3-4°C, ideal for vapor recompression systems (MVR/TVR) and for concentrating viscous products (such as sugar or proteins) above 70% solids.
•Scalable Modular Flexibility: System capacity is not fixed. If production requirements increase, the AlfaVap allows evaporation capacity to be increased simply by adding more cassettes (welded plate pairs) to the existing frame, protecting the initial investment long-term.
•Simplified Maintenance and Cleaning: Turbulence reduces the fouling rate on the heat-transfer surface. Additionally, the design allows easy access to the transfer surface for visual inspection or mechanical cleaning simply by removing the frame bolts, eliminating the costs and risks of confined spaces typical of tubular systems.
•Product Integrity (Food Safety and Quality): The system operates with an extremely low product hold-up volume, guaranteeing a short residence time. This is critical to avoid thermal degradation (Maillard reaction or burning) in sensitive products such as fruit juices, coffee extracts, or dairy proteins, ensuring a superior organoleptic profile.
