Automated, hygienic curd transfer from coagulation to stretching The Pneumatic Curd Transport System is designed to fully automate the internal transfer of acid curd, eliminating manual handling, reducing contamination risk, and ensuring a continuous and hygienic flow from coagulation vats to stretching and molding equipment. The system operates under positive pressure, providing reliable curd transport with capacities of up to 9,900 lb/h (4,500 kg/h). It integrates curd collection, controlled size reduction, rotary dosing, pneumatic conveying, and cyclone reception into a single coordinated solution. This approach transforms a traditionally discontinuous and labor‑intensive operation into a continuous, enclosed, and washable process. The transfer cycle begins with a collection hopper and double‑auger elevator, which feed a size‑reduction unit to prepare the curd for pneumatic conveying. A star‑type rotary valve meters the product into the pressure line generated by the blower, ensuring uniform flow without blockages or curd agglomeration. The curd is then conveyed to one or multiple receiving cyclones, depending on line configuration. Thanks to its modular design, the system can supply multiple downstream destinations—such as stretchers or molders—through diverter valves, allowing seamless integration into existing pasta filata and mozzarella production lines. Full CIP compatibility ensures maximum hygiene and minimal downtime. By eliminating manual carts and open transfers, the Pneumatic Curd Transport System improves plant safety, reduces operating costs, and significantly enhances process consistency and sanitation.
